Bikes - An Old Friend
"An Old Friend" is a 36x48 priced for $3200.  I had photographed the bike at a rental shop and you could just feel the history with the bent frame and spokes.  I painted the entire thing with no maul stick or straight edge.  I wanted the free hand to help you feel the story behind this beat up rims.
The first form of transportation in my youth.  Where I was able to get away from home and explore the world from the wide eyes of a young man.  Looking at a bike that is like the one you grew up with suddenly fills someone with a feeling of nostalgia.  They take me back to simpler times.
